Photo of Manie VongpraseuthWhy did you want to be a CUE?

I am passionate about social justice issues, diversity, equity, and inclusion. Engaging and connecting with students is amazing. I want to be able to grow and learn with residents. I want to help set a positive, welcoming, and safe environment. We are the first people that transitioning first-year student see, and I want to make a long-lasting impact. It is important to be conscious and understanding of others intersecting experiences to help create a more unified community.

Why do you think the CUE Program is important for IU?

The CUE program is important to the community and culture of IU because it helps break barriers and "bubbles" for transitioning first-year student. It is important to advocate for students and work to gain knowledge together in a fun way!
