lily_nguyen.jpgWhy did you want to be a CUE?

I wanted to be a CUE because I have teaching experience as a teaching assistant for a biology class. I love teaching, I love helping my students, getting to know them, and helping them grow, but I realized that what I taught in class would only stay with my students for so long and only be used in the real world whenever they are done with college. On the other hand, as a CUE the things that I would be doing with the residents would have the potential to have a bigger impact on their lives and the world in the present.

Why do you think the CUE Program is important for IU?

The CUE Program is important for IU because in times like these building community and promoting diversity and social justice is crucial, students need peers they can look to guide and aid them on their journeys of self-discovery related to these topics.
