Photo of Chaarvi SinghWhy did you want to be a CUE?

I wanted to be a CUE to raise awareness about many topics and situations that occur in our daily lives. There is often misunderstanding and disagreement that arises when social justice issues are at hand. Education and exposure is key to creating actual change in the way our society thinks about such issues. By creating an inclusive and diverse environment, we can work towards becoming more equitable people.

Why do you think the CUE Program is important for IU?

A college campus is a unique environment where people from various backgrounds may have to coexist for the first time ever. Difference in experience and ideology is sure to arise. The CUE program creates a space where education of different topics can occur. Topics that students may not otherwise have exposure to can be addressed right in their residence halls and daily lives.
