Why did you want to be a CUE?
I became a CUE because I want to create a better campus environment. Coming to college as a first-year student is an overwhelming experience, especially when you are surrounded by so many different people that have all different backgrounds. It is important for us to acknowledge the differences, and try to bridge them, and to bring everyone together. I am hoping to foster a welcoming and inclusive community for student residents.
Why do you think the CUE Program is important for IU?
CUE is an important program that helps students to develop their soft skills. In today's society, we are all interconnected. It is important for IU students to understand how to work and interact with each other. This position serves as a bridge between people and identities, to break the ice and bring IU students closer together. CUEs are necessary to help people understand themselves, other people around them, as well as our society. By educating residents, we can create a close-knitted community altogether.
